Once the techniques of Leadership and Influence are known, confidence and better decision-making follows. This course introduces new leaders to the key concepts.

Basic Bookkeeping

This course deals with the fundamentals of accounting and bookkeeping terminology, balance sheets and financial planning, budgeting and control.

Business Writing

Writing is a key method of communication for most people, and it’s one that many people struggle with. Writing and communication skills have degraded with more and more people communicating through email and text messaging. Developing writing skills is still important is the business world as creating proper documents (such as proposals, reports, and agendas), giving that extra edge in the workplace. The PICA Business Writing workshop gives participants a refresher on basic writing concepts (such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation), and an overview of the most common business documents.

Cyber Security

Every organisation is responsible for ensuring Cyber Security. The ability to protect its information systems from impairment or even theft is essential to reduce risk. Implementing effective security measures will not only offer liability protection; it will also increase efficiency and productivity. Risk Assessment Management

It is not possible to control or manage 100 percent of risk, but knowing what do before, during, and after an event will mitigate the damage and harm. Identifying potential hazards and risks and making it part of the day-to-day business is important. Safety should be the first priority as every business must face the reality of risks and hazards. Through PICA’s Risk Assessment and Management course participants will be aware of hazards and risk they didn’t realise were around their workplace. Identifying hazards through proper procedures will provide participants the ability to prevent an accident before it occurs.
