Here’s an interesting role for a loss prevention investigator. You’ll be conducting investigations into stock theft, monitoring and investigating stock take discrepancies, mystery shopping, reviewing and maintaining CCTV.   Due to our continued success and growth, we are seeking a motivated “Loss Prevention Investigator”  to join our successful “Loss prevention Team”. Reporting to “Senior management”  you will be expected to have previous experience in a control room or loss prevention position, within a similar or related industry. Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Carry out internal & external investigations into criminal activities
  • Filling out and managing daily occurrence logs
  • Review & download CCTV footage for incidents and police requests
  • Data entry and general administrative duties
  • Additional duties as requested by management
  • Monitoring and investigating stock take discrepancies
  • Mystery shopping stores as required
  • Performing inspections of stores and reporting your findings to management along with any recommendations

The Compensation Investigator has a vital role in conducting investigations into alleged contraventions of compensation legislation by individuals or companies which may lead to criminal prosecutions. The complexity in individual cases and the forum within which the investigator will be working may change from case to case. All cases require forensic skills and analysis within the scrutiny of a criminal justice setting. Investigators also conduct initial assessment and evaluation of allegations and make recommendations on appropriate actions at key decision-making points in the investigation process. Investigators are required to act as an informant in court and attend court as a witness. They often need to make decisions under pressure that may impact on the reputation of WorkSafe.

The Senior Investigator is responsible for Investigations throughout the state relating to breaches of the Greyhound Racing rules and associated NSW legislations relating to animal cruelty matters and other associated offences. A high level of skills and technical knowledge around planning and conducting investigations, conducting interviews, preparing briefs of evidence and operational reports relating to prosecutions, disciplinary matters and referrals to other regulatory bodies for investigation.
