Biosecurity Officer

Talk about great places to work! You’ll need a certificate IV in government Investigations for this island based role as a Biosecurity Officer. You’ll conduct regulatory biosecurity activities and provide operational frontline field service delivery to protect the environment and economy of Lord Howe Island from the introduction and establishment of exotic / invasive species and pathogens. You’ll also assist in the surveillance and monitoring of potential invasion pathways, proactive identification of biosecurity threats, and rapid response to biosecurity breaches. Along with your colleagues, you will support new and emerging biosecurity issues, incidents and emergency responses.
