What we are looking for:

Do you have knowledge of Local Government, Animal Management and Local Laws with a high level of computer literacy? If you have worked in a pressured environment whilst exercising initiative, judgement and enthusiasm please consider joining our Regulatory Services team.

This position is responsible for responding and undertaking investigations in accordance with relevant state legislation and local laws, and in accordance with Council policies and procedures.

What you should have to apply:

As detailed in the competency based progression table in the position description click here
High level of customer service experience
High level of computer skills
Ability to read and interpret legislation
Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence

What’s nice to have:

Demonstrated experience as a Compliance Officer/Ranger/Animal Control Officer or similar
Certificate IV Government Investigations (Regulatory Compliance Specialisation); or equivalent (or a willingness to obtain)
Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation (ACM40117)
Completion of an Animal Control / Animal Handling course
Conflict resolution training
Report and letter writing training
Recent experience in a regulatory or investigations type role
