This challenging and rewarding role is on the frontline of services offered by Council to the local community with a broad spectrum of responsibilities.

• Investigate dog attacks, illegal breeding and other complex matters under the Domestic Animals Act 1994.
• Investigate offences and promote compliance under the Casey Community Local Law.
• Prepare briefs of evidence and attend Magistrates Court as part of a prosecution.
• Issue infringement notices for non-compliance with legislation or Local Laws.
• Provide Councils animal management service which includes containing loose dogs, ensuring compliance for Declared Dangerous Dogs, securing stock out on roads and ensuring that regulations and Codes of Practice are adhered to by animal owners and Domestic Animal Businesses.
• Promote responsible pet ownership and engage with the community.
