Here’s some great role at a federal level with Services Australia. They are advertising for a Senior Criminal Investigator and a Senior Administrative Investigator. You’ll need a certificate IV in Government Investigations for these roles.
Did you know that the Australian Government Investigation Standards (AGIS) were recently updated and noted that the standard of training for government investigators is the certificate IV?
- Senior Administrative Investigator
The Administrative Investigator role applies a more technically complex lens of Social Security law (right payment, right person) and applies remediation to customer records, including recovery of public money. This role may identify criminal conduct and refer jobs to a Criminal Investigator after seeking Operation Management Committee approval.
- Senior Criminal Investigator
The Criminal Investigator role is aligned with the Australian Government Investigations Standards and criminal law and primarily gathers admissible evidence for a criminal sanction. This role may complete some administrative tasks or refer job to an Administrative Investigator.
