Trainee Compliance Officer

Here’s a great entry level role in local government compliance and investigations. You’ll need a successful HSC and the ability to undertake a certificate IV in Government (investigations). And hey, we’ve got one of those you can do!

Council is currently seeking a Trainee Compliance Officer to assist Council’s Compliance Officer and other regulatory staff to monitor areas under Council’s jurisdiction to enforce regulations relating to animal control, vehicle parking and other regulatory matters.

Our ideal candidate will have a NSW Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent and be prepared to enrol in a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or relevant qualification. Knowledge of animal handling and an interest in Local Government compliance is also essential, as is the willingness to develop skills with all types of animals including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, horses and cattle.

Computer skills, particularly data entry, word processing and spreadsheet skills are also a requirement for the position.
