Reporting directly to the Manager – Human Resources, the focus of this position is to provide both operational and strategic management of WHS at Council to ensure their community, staff, stakeholders (including volunteers and contractors), and their operations are safe, efficient and embedded.

 

While leading the co-ordination of all WHS activities, a portion of this role will be on site with their crews and contractors conducting audits, improvement coaching and risk management. The role will also assist the Human Resources team in the coordination of Worker’s Compensation claims including return to work, as well as the coordination of WHS compliance training and inductions.

 

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is one of the essentials for this role
